On behalf of the Board of AAPM we are excited to welcome you to the National Conference of the Australian Association of Practice Management Ltd in Hobart from the 20th to the 23rd October 2015.
In the year of the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli it is appropriate that AAPM joins forces with the Practice Managers and Administrators Association of New Zealand (PMAANZ) to host a Combined Conference in Hobart, providing the ultimate destination for the gathering and networking of the practice management community.
We believe that effective practice management will drive many of the changes necessary to improve the healthcare system in the future. In an environment of perpetual turmoil and constant change, the role of practice management has never been so crucial.
This conference has a tremendous program that will challenge, inspire and invigorate you as you invest time away from the day-to-day challenges of your workplace in your own professional development.
We encourage everyone to make the most of this opportunity to meet new people and learn about what practice management means in their world. By connecting and listening we will all leave the conference with a greater sense of solidarity and purpose.
I look forward to catching up with you during this year’s Combined AAPM & PMAANZ Conference in Hobart.
National President, AAPM
On behalf of the Executive Committee of PMAANZ and the joint organising committee I am pleased to welcome you to this first joint conference of our national associations.
Apart from a stretch of water and our health funding systems there is little that separates our jobs as practice managers in New Zealand and Australia. The principles of the legal framework and controls under which practices operate is very similar, the principles of the business and employment law under which we manage our practices is very similar so we can enjoy learning from the same experts no matter which of our countries they come from. We can also learn by networking with our colleagues from across the Tasman and sharing the innovations that have made our practices successful successful at caring for the patients and successful at managing the business.
This is a great opportunity for all of us to learn, to make new friends and to enjoy the hospitality of Hobart.
